Your Reliability Score starts with your first shift

Shyft SG is Singapore's reliability-first shift marketplace. We connect workers with short-term shifts across four industries: Hospitality, F&B, Events and Logistics. Every completed shift builds your Reliability Score, a portable track record that travels with you across all industries and makes you more competitive for the best shifts over time.

Singapore citizens, Singapore permanent residents, Long Term Visit Pass or LTVP+ holders with a valid Letter of Consent from the Ministry of Manpower, and Student Pass holders (within their pass conditions) can join Shyft. We're not able to accept Work Permit or S Pass holders. Those passes are tied to a specific employer and occupation, so MOM does not allow shift work through platforms like this one.

Your employer pays you directly. Wages never pass through Shyft SG: we do not receive, hold, control or transmit them, and our platform fee is never taken out of your pay. Where the Employment Act applies to your engagement, your employer must pay within the period that Act requires and no later than 7 days after the salary period ends; otherwise within 7 days of the end of the shift. The app records your agreed rate, your confirmed hours, and a payment marker from each side, but those records are not proof of payment. If you are not paid, raise it in the app and then at contact@shyftsg.com. We will contact the employer and can restrict or remove their account, but we cannot compel payment. You can also bring a salary claim to the Tripartite Alliance for Dispute Management or to MOM.

Yes. More than 24 hours before the start time it is a lawful cancellation: it carries no strike and it is left out of your reliability score. Within 24 hours it is recorded as a late cancellation, it stays on your record, it enters your reliability score, and it counts towards the rolling 90-day total that triggers a warning at two and a review by a person at three. No account is ever suspended automatically. If you think a mark is wrong, you can dispute it in the app within 7 days and a person reads it. We do not ask you to upload a medical certificate.

Employers must satisfy four criteria before posting shifts:

1. Valid ACRA registration
2. Business tenure of 12 months minimum
3. Proof of physical premises
4. Mandatory human review by the Shyft SG admin team

There is no auto-approval. Every employer is reviewed by a person before their account is activated. On the worker side, workers self-declare their work eligibility at signup and receive immediate access. Verified is an employer status and never a worker one: we do not collect identification numbers and we do not check identity documents, so nothing on a worker's profile is an identity check, a document check or a criminal record check, and none of it is a guarantee of future conduct. What an employer sees instead is the worker's own record on Shyft: their reliability score, their rating, the shifts they have completed and their badges.
